The world presents itself in a diverse manifold ways to the vision’ (G. Harry Jamieson, 2007:11). There is more than meets the eye. The way we see visuals are accompanied by multiple signifiers in the inclusiveness of the vision. With saying this, there is more to visual communication than just seeing an image; it has to communicate to the mind of the individual. Seeing images and essentially a form of communication, where we are made to think and comprehend in visual form.

The purpose of the work is to investigate in the question of ‘How does our various perspectives affect our ways of seeing through visual communication?’ We hold a range of perspectives that enables us to form debates and conclusions to what we encounter in our daily lives. I see people and often wonder how the world looks like through their field of vision; the curious and bewilderment omits a sense of strive for me to find out more. Everyone sees differently. I find it an absolutely intriguing topic to engage in as visual communication is a powerful tool in shaping our field of vision.

I will conduct my own research and experiments to see how people view particular images differently, such as to see what draws their attention foremost, and why they see in this way. The research will allow me to use different methodologies and also allow me to evaluate my gathered findings and see what I have accomplished. I hope to explore more in the depths of visual communication and it’s links within perception and imagery, and to gain a better understanding of our ways of seeing.
